Providing a distinct level of innovation and technological achievement, Ronald Watson is a highly motivated entrepreneur that has created numerous digital platforms and business ventures. At an early age, Mr. Watson began designing various gaming applications that were successfully launched on well known portals such as iTunes and Google Play store.
As a talented coder, Mr. Watson consulted with numerous entertainment producers on the design, layout, and functionality of several well known titles in the video game industry. In addition, he was the owner and distributor of mobile game coding, which provided platforms for others to “re-skin” his easily workable code.
Mr. Watson has also been a business consultant for several innovative software developments whereby he strategized product maturity and commercialization. Establishing his own software incubator, Mr. Watson was instrumental in injecting new software into numerous industries including agriculture, forestry, engineering, and interface platform design.
Mark Allen Kurczewski
President & Co-Founder
Mark Allen brings a diverse history of experiences and business acumen to Greylind. Having served 9 years in the US Coast Guard and a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, he held numerous leadership roles and is accustomed to managing large groups of people and staying on point to ensure mission success.
In the private sector, Mr. Allen has served as a business growth strategist whereby he specialized in developing and implementing corporate expansion models, primarily for early stage companies. He has spent the last 10 years forming capitalization structures, M&A activities, and unique business development strategies designed to make a large impact to a company’s value.
Mr. Allen is highly experienced in working with disruptive technologies in sectors such as mobility, cybersecurity, telecom, and healthcare. Within those companies, he has been an integral part of senior management teams to restructure the company’s vision and execute definable corporate expansion strategies.
Chief Operating Officer, Greylind Corp. | President, Greylind Software
Marc Fertik is a diligent sales and operations executive with 40 years of experience in the federal government, international, and commercial markets.
Mr. Fertik’s background encompasses numerous leadership and management roles as well as a strong involvement in corporate sales and operational based teams. From 1999 to 2008, he served as the Director of Contracts & Proposals and eventually VP of Federal Sales in 2004 for Westwood Computer Corporation (renamed Emtec, Inc. in 2005 as the result of a reverse merger). As the sales manager for nearly 40 people nationwide, Mr. Fertik was responsible for the complete strategic oversight and capture of five influential contracting vehicles from the federal government that resulted in an all-time corporate sales revenue record of over $155 million. His organizational prowess led to his participation in acquisition evaluation, due diligence reviews, and strategic assessments for the company’s executive management. As the VP of Sales Operations and Strategic Programs of Emtec, Inc, he led a nationwide sales team of 75 members and for all bid, proposal, and strategic capture efforts for revenue targets between $200-300 million.
Over the last 11 years, Mr. Fertik has served in an executive role for two small to medium sized computer and information technology companies. Mr. Fertik served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Lyme Computer Systems, a mid-sized value-added reseller of computer hardware. In this capacity, he had overall leadership and direction for sales activities, marketing, and future strategic initiatives. In addition, Mr. Fertik also held a board seat and took on the function of Chief Financial Officer, while successfully shepherding the company through an ESOP transition.
Mr. Fertik is currently the Vice President of Technology Solutions for J.C. Technology, Inc. (Ace Computers). As the company’s sales and operational leader, he is responsible for the oversight and capture of numerous contracts from the federal government, and has consistently been a primary revenue contributor, contributing over $40 million in sales over the last five years. Recently (July 2019), Ace Computers (one of eight (8) awardees from a bidding pool of 50+ companies) was successfully awarded a 10 year contract from the US Army with a $5 Billion ceiling. Mr. Fertik has proven to be exceedingly proficient at managing complex contracts, a multitude of vendor relationships, company personnel, corporate finances as well as developing strategic visions for technology companies.
David Arnold, PhD
Chief Technology Advisor, Greylind Power
David P. Arnold is currently the George Kirkland Engineering Leadership Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Deputy Director of the NSF Multi-functional Integrated System Technology (MIST) Center, and Director of the Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group at the University of Florida. He received dual B.S. (1999) and M.S. degrees (2001) from University of Florida and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Tech (2004).
His research focuses on micro/nanostructured magnetic materials, magnetic microsystems, electromechanical transducers, and miniaturized power/energy systems. He is an active participant in the magnetics and MEMS communities, including various conference committees and the editorial boards of J. Micromechanics and Microengineering and Energy Harvesting and Systems. He has co-authored over 190 refereed journal and conference publications and holds 19 U.S. patents. His research innovations have been recognized by the 2008 Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering (PECASE) and the 2009 DARPA Young Faculty Award. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and also a member of Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
Dr. My T. Thai
Dr. My T. Thai is a UFRF Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences and Engineering at the University of Florida. Her current research interests include blockchain, scalable machine learning, cybersecurity, and optimization. The results of her work have led to 6 books and 170+ articles, including IEEE MSN 2014 Best Paper Award, IEEE ICDCS 2017 Best Paper Runner Up, 2017 IEEE ICDM Best Papers Award, and 2018 ACM ASONAM Best Paper Runner Up.
Dr. Thai has engaged in many professional activities. She currently serves as the EiC of the Computational Social Networks journal and Journal of Combinatorial Optimization. She is also the founding and steering chair of the international conference on Computational Data and Social Networks. She has served as editors for several journal editorial boards, and also chaired or served on numerous program committees of international conferences and workshops. She has received many research awards including an UFRF Professorship Award, a Department of Defense (DoD) Young Investigator Award, and an NSF (National Science Foundation) CAREER Award.
